Cheers to the Weekend!

How’s it going today? I have to tell you all, I had a chat with some amazing ladies this week. It’s interesting how much you can learn from different people. I’m realizing that your “teachers” can come from anywhere. One thing that struck me is to not take any opportunity for granted and to be open to the possibilities.

On a different note, what costumes do you have planned for Halloween? Everyone’s creativity seems to come alive this time of year. :) Well, I hope you all enjoy your Friday. Here are some interesting links I’ve seen around the web this week:

Review of Essie’s 2013 Winter collection.

Pop quiz! Which state matches your personality? (I got North Carolina — relaxed and creative).

How to say something nice about someone’s art when you don’t quite get it. My favorite is: “You sure did that!”

Fall date-night outfit ideas.

A fun, five-minute tutorial to transform coffee mugs from boring to sparkling.

Mmm. Chicken and waffle sandwiches.

Moody San Francisco — 20 homes painted black.

There’s a lot going on with this arugula salad, but it looks so good!

Secrets of happy workers.

Two new moms sent home with the wrong babies! (or why you should always trust your intuition).

Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George, in one photo. The last time a reigning British monarch was in the same room with three future monarchs was 1894.

Does the hyper-competitive culture of D.C. produce more marathon runners?

Duchess for a day! DIY costume: Kate Middleton.

Finally, I hope you feel beautiful today! Xx

P.S. If you’re in a reading mood, check out some of my favorites from past weeks.
